where ever we go – a rhyme on Gordon's observations

where ever we go we take our wars with us
on land and in water we fight for nation
for our queen or our god and our place on this planet
we fight for the poor and rich in their castles
we fight for the right to map out the deep ocean
we fight to the right of our latest devotion

Wherever we go we take our wars with us
in the air to the stars we wage a fierce fight
with guns and with terror we think of forever
because there is never an end to our human need
we fight for the oil and the rocks in the soil
for the last drop of water that’s cold and clean

Where ever we go we take our wars with us
in our homes to our movies we watch on the screen
we fight for the money we fight for the glory
we fight for the story and the right to be free
and we fight for the wrongs in democracy

wherever we go we take our wars with us
to the atom inside us to the bees that survive us
to cyberspace crime technology
wherever we go when we take our wars with us
where ever we’ve gone with the wars on our planet
where ever we fight for the right of the warring
we find when we get there – it’s somewhere we’ve been.
