Particularly preferred herbicidally active compounds of the cyclohexenone type are: tepraloxydim (cf. AGROW, No. 243, 11.3.95, page 21, caloxydim) and 2-(1-[2-{4-chlorophenoxy}-propyloxyimino]butyl)-3-hydroxy-5-(2H-tetrahydr- othiopyran-3-yl)-2-cyclohexen-1-one, and a particularly preferred herbicidally active compound of the sulfonylurea type is: N–(((4-methoxy-6-[trifluoromethyl]-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)amino)carbonyl)-2– (trifluoromethyl)benzenesulfonamide.

This includes biological transformation such as metabolization (aerobic or anaerobic) and chemical (including photochemical) transformation, e.g. chemical reactions such as hydrolysis, oxidation and isomerization. Transformation means conversion to other organic compounds. Thus, transformation products of pesticides include in particular metabolization products (metabolites) as well as reaction products of the pesticide, metabolites and reaction products.

Physicochemical properties such as solubility, partition coefficient and stability data, as well as information regarding the environmental fate (half-life, DT50, metabolites) can be taken from standard handbooks such The Pesticide Manual, British Crop Protection Council, e.g. the 12th edition 2000.

    Needless to say, it’s unlikely either Environment Canada or Health Canada will be permitted to do anything about this under the current regime. The scientists within those departments are certainly aware, but they’re not allowed to speak to Canadians about it or raise their concerns publicly at international conferences.
    It’s no wonder that many species of flora and fauna are disappearing while various cancers are rising where the groundwater has become a more-or-less toxic soup of chemicals. This is facilitated when an “acceptable” level for each substance is determined by industry and no account is taken of the cumulative effect and interactions between substances.
    Canadians should be voicing their concerns in no uncertain terms, to the point where our politicians will be forced to take action. Thank you for giving us this list, which substantiates our contention that there are ways of monitoring these chemicals and these should be implemented ASAP.

    MY GOD…I thought the list would never end!! NO wonder we are all sick…they are dumping tons of these in the environment…I was looking for “Round Up” they are coating our GMO foods with…aaaaggghhhh it’s too much!!

      I found the pesticide list on a website that sold a patent to test for all these products ( the link is no longer valid). What amazed me was the bit at the bottom of the post which says;

      …meaning that the list which we thought would never end can become unlimited numbers of other lists of transformed pesticides at least as long or longer that the one posted here. Pesticides; taking us onward to the death of our planet. So bad- wrong and uncivilized!
